Fun

When it comes to having fun, Singapore is limited only by your imagination.

Explore off the beaten track, over land, sea, or sky, or get high on an adventure ride. There’s enough happening for everyone to discover their own unique Singapore!

Places

Sentosa is the go-to place for fun-seekers. A giant playground with everything from themed attractions to idyllic beaches, you’ll find yourself headed there again and again. Watch out for Resorts World opening up in 2010 with its own collection of theme parks, including Universal Studios Singapore.

Our garden city’s 45 public parks and gardens provide plenty of options, from hiking 25m above a forest along the HSBC TreeTop Walk to crossing peak-to-peak via the Southern Ridges, or catching an outdoor concert at the Botanic Gardens. If you get onto the park connector network, you will be able to circumnavigate all the parks in the island!

A comprehensive list of facilities and activities for nature lovers can be found here.

Thrills

At 165m off the ground, the Singapore Flyer is the world’s largest observation wheel. Enjoy breathtaking views of Singapore and even Batam, an Indonesia island across the sea. These are the best seats in the island for the Fireworks Festival and Formula 1.

Hop onto a bumboat and explore Singapore’s Southern Islands, or spend the night out at sea fishing for squid. Your land-lubber friends can camp on the beach and set up the barbecue while waiting.

For SGD 10.70, you can take a tour around Tiger Tavern, home of Singapore’s award-winning Tiger Beer, and end the day by knocking back a free flow of the premium brew, while picking up the finer points of enjoying the drink.

Spills

The new highlight of the international racing circuit is Singapore’s own Formula 1 Singtel Grand Prix, with F1’s first-ever night races. You get a real party buzz from the glamour and celebrity surrounding the three days of racing, concerts and celebration.

Get your own adrenalin rush at MegaZip Adventure, on the longest and steepest zip wires in Asia and a 14m ParaJump simulated freefall. In addition, a novel way to enjoy the Singapore River is to fly – yes, fly – over it, on the GX-5 Extreme Swing, part of the G-Max Reverse Bungy experience.

If all this is still too normal for you, you may consider signing up for the Asia Paranormal Investigators Spooky Tour, for a thrill of a whole different kind.
