Europe
Because of their diverse cultures, languages and strengths, recruitment in most of Western Europe, including the UK, can be a sophisticated and challenging exercise.
However, the quality of talent, and scope and depth of expertise from this continent make the market a worthwhile venture.
Qualifications and Expertise
UK has some of the oldest and most established universities in the world, including world-renowned ones such as Oxford and Cambridge that offer a diverse curriculum and rigorous academic standards.
The impeccable educational grounding produces exceptional and well-rounded graduates with strong knowledge and expertise in a wide range of sectors, such as legal services, finance, healthcare services, research and interactive & digital media.
Recruitment Considerations
There are different methods of recruitment in Europe and UK, including advertisements, exhibitions, flyers, sponsorship, seminars, internships, headhunters and online recruitment. Professional recruitment fairs offer immediate access to potential candidates but can be costly, from about £5,000 per day for a basic shell stand.
Employers who are keen to hire fresh graduates may contact the universities’ Career Advisory Units directly. These Units play an active role in helping students gain employment after graduation. Many companies proactively design creative campaigns to attract top graduates.
Recruitment for professionals usually occurs all year round, although it is best to avoid holiday months like August, Christmas or Easter. For fresh graduates, the peak recruitment period is from early September to early October, from late October to early November. Contact Singapore organises recruitment events in UK in January, October and November; you can partner us in these events.
